CASology #42

Welcome to Week 42 of CASology!  Here's the cue word for this week:

I loved looking at all the giggle worthy creations from last week!  You guys really rocked the cue word.  :)  This week's word leaves a lot of room for interpretation so you have no excuses for not playing along!  I went with a Get Well card to show someone I care.  I used my new Paper Smooches die and trimmed it down to fit on the notebook page.  I love it!  I hope Kim makes some more word dies...  Anyway, time for you to check out what the rest of the DT cares about and then play along!

CASology #41

Welcome to Week 41 of CASology!  Here's the cue word for this week:

One thing that always makes me giggle is a good pun.  I needed a card for a co-worker and it had to involve a duck.  *Ding ding ding* went the little happy bell in my head!  A duck, a pun and a lot of white space.  A perfect storm of craftiness!  So what makes you giggle?  Check out the rest of the DT interpretations and then start creating!

CASology #40

Welcome to Week 40 of CASology!  Here's the cue word for this week:

Another cue word with a lot of room for interpretation!  My initial attempt involving masks and mists went wildly wrong so I scrapped that idea all together and decided to put the emphasis on one word of the sentiment.  I masked and stamped the drinks but popped up the Merry which helped to emphasize it further.  I'm excited to see what you all come up with this week so get to work!  But check out my awesome teamies first...

Retro Runway Hello

Hi there!  Sorry it's been a bit quiet on the blog this week but I've been down and out with the flu.  It's been almost a week of sleeping, reading and watching The OC (don't judge me...).  Atticus has been a very good nurse and made sure I was pinned down to the sofa for the majority of the time.  Now if I could just teach him to fetch me water and tissues...

Anyway I'm finally feeling a bit better today and made a card for a couple of challenges - the Runway Inspired Challenge and RetroSketches.  The background in the RIC photo reminded me of this Out of Print paper collection from Basic Grey.  The yellow flower was stamped using both sides of the stamp to give it that yellow glow.  I finished it off with some Enamel Accents in the middle.  That's all for now.  Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Wild WasabiSahara Sand)  Stampin' Up

CASology #39

Welcome to Week 39 of CASology!  Here's the cue word for this week:

There could certainly be a lot of crossover from last week's cue word here - airplanes, hot air balloons, helicopters, etc...  I inked up a set from Market Street Stamps that I won ages ago but has been sorely neglected.  Tsk tsk...  It fit perfectly in this cloud-like frame and I love the font on the sentiment.  I'm excited to see where you'll TRAVEL with your designs this week so check out what the rest of the team has created and then get to work!

CAS(E) This Sketch #22

Welcome to Week 22 of CAS(E) This Sketch!  Take a look at this week's sketch designed by Karolyn Loncon:

I love this phonebox image from Unity's February Kit of the Month and thought it would be perfect for this week's sketch.  The grey seemed an appropriate background colour (sorry, England -- hope you get some sun soon!) and the polka dots that ground the image kind of make me think of cobblestones.  Time for you to play along now!  Check out the rest of the design team cards and then get to work!

Good morning! Somehow it's Wednesday already and I'm here with a card for RetroSketches and Dynamic Duos.  I used Midnight Muse as my second colour choice for DD and broke out this Simon Says Stamp Bubble Dots die.  It's really fun and I'm going to need to play around with it some more I think.  That's it for me now.  Off to the dentist and then to work.  Have a lovely day!

CASology #38

Welcome to Week 38 of CASology!  Here's the cue word for this week:

This week we are excited to be sponsored by Lawn Fawn!  If you've never checked out Kelly Marie's super cute LF stamps then you're missing out and you must take a peek at them.  I used the light bulb and sentiment from the How Delightful mini set.  I wanted to frame the bulb and considered trying to hand cut around it but I'm not so good with a craft knife.  So I started flipping through my dies and found a hot air balloon which, to me, looked kind of like a light bulb!  Okay now let's see what's UP in your crafty brains!  Check out the rest of the DT and then get crafting!

Link your creations to the CASology blog and remember that submissions are due by 4pm CST Sunday, 7 April.
