CASology #299

Welcome to Week 299 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

I pulled out my old Hero Arts ink daubers to create the sea background for my little turtle.  They're so much fun and I'll use them every once in a while and then forget about them  and then be delighted all over again when I "rediscover" them once more.  Does this happen to you with any of your products?

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Link your creations to the CASology blog and remember that the deadline for entries is Monday at 9am (CDT).

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Stamps:  (Turtle) Avery Elle
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko

Ostrich Greetings

Hi there!

I'm here with a card for three challenges:  Just Add Ink (Just Add "O"), Simon Says Wednesday Challenge (Animal Magic) and Time Out Challenges (Wild).  Katzelkraft has so many amazing and hilarious critter images.  I am slowly building up my collection but, of course, there are always more to covet!  The look on this ostrich's face cracks me up and he could be paired with a variety of sentiments.  For this card I kept it simple with a Paper Smooches "'Sup?"  And look!  More patterned paper!  Maybe I'll get through it before 2026 after all....

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Real Red) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Cool Kid 6x6) Crate Paper
Stamps:  (Ostrich) Katzenkraft, (Sentiment) Paper Smooches
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko

Flying Panda

Hi there!

I've got a card today for the Seize the Birthday Anything Goes challenge and the Time Out Wild challenge.  I'm continuing in my efforts to burn through some patterned paper.  At this rate I should run out by 2026.  :)  This paper is from Studio Calico.  The panda is Mama Elephant, the sentiment is Altenew and the balloon is Lil' Inker.  A cacophony of companies all playing together!

CASology #298

Welcome to Week 298 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

I'm second guessing myself as to whether a zebra is really a jungle animal.  I think they're mostly found on the plains but there are some mountain zebras so I'm going to hope there's also some jungle associated with those mountains...

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Plaid Kitchen

Hello!

I'm popping in again with a card for the current MFT Sketch Challenge.  I broke out the adorable Kitschy Kitchen set for this card and paired it with some American Crafts paper to create a real down home cozy country kitchen!  I don't often get matching die sets but I'm glad I got this one because it has that cute little shelf die with it.  The simple things that make me happy...

JUGS Flower

I LOVE the photo inspiration at Just Us Girls this week and knew what I was going to do right away.  The "window" die cut is from Mama Elephant and I filled it with assorted papers from Reverse Confetti.  The Simon Says Stamp flower is paper pieced with cardstock and the sentiment is from Altenew.  Usually I fuss around with the design and layout of a card for AGES so I love it when a card quickly comes together just as I imagined it.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Tangelo Twist, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Cheerful & Kind 6x6, Every Little Bit 6x6) Reverse Confetti
Stamp:  (Sentiment from Many Thanks) Altenew
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Fresh Daisies) Simon Says Stamp, (Window) Mama Elephant
Glitter:  (Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer) Tonic
